Biography
I'm a proud longtime resident of Stanton in Haywood County. Family is the heart of my life. I'm the proud mother of Jeffrey Boyland and grandmother of four grandchildren, including one who has passed away. As the third oldest of 12 siblings I learned early the importance of responsibility, compassion, and looking out for those around me. With more than 40 years in the food service industry, I built a career around hospitality and entrepreneurship. I spent 20 years working at Stanton Inn before becoming its owner for another 10 years. Those years gave me the opportunity to build lasting friendship, welcome countless guests and become a familiar face in Stanton. I continued my career at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, TN, where I worked until retirement. My passion for cooking and hospitality eventually brought me back to work as the owner and operator of The Cannery Cafe.
